Here's what's best about the VIK 5.0 PRO: Thanks to our flexible seating system, you can freely choose your seating positions. If you want to go out alone, you can place one seat in the middle and enjoy an extremely fast, true-tracking solo kayak with gigantic storage space. So you're buying a tandem and an expedition solo kayak all in one.
Plenty. At 5 meters in length, the VIK 5.0 PRO offers enough volume for a tent, sleeping bags, provisions, and cooking gear for two people. Thanks to the OpenDeck design, the boat is also significantly easier to load than a classic folding kayak with a small hatch. We have an article about this in our guide blog.
We have reduced the weight to just 18 kg. When folded, the package is hardly larger than our VIK 3.8 model. It is still considered hand luggage on trains and can be easily carried by one person in a backpack to the platform. Read more about it here
The 70 cm width combined with the high rigidity of the hollow-chamber plate make the boat very stable against capsizing. The low center of gravity ensures that you always feel safe, even on large lakes or in rough water. It sits firmly in the water and can be steered intuitively even by beginners.
Although the VIK 5.0 PRO has significantly more surface area, the folding system is identical. Experienced paddlers need about 8 to 10 minutes for assembly. Since you'll mostly be out and about in pairs, it's even faster: one folds, one clicks in the seats – and off to the water.
The VIK is designed so that its hull shape ensures it tracks straight and stable even without an additional fin – one less thing for you to worry about.
