For deliveries within Germany (between 2-3 business days), we charge a flat shipping fee of €5.90 for packages under 10kg and €22.50 for packages 10kg and over.

Every component of the VIK 5.0 PRO is the result of meticulous development in our Berlin workshop. Recycled polypropylene hollow-core panels, powder-coated aluminium frames, and durable EPDM edge protection form the foundation of its design.

Open Deck Design
No more confined cockpits. The open deck design of the VIK 5.0 PRO makes getting in as easy as sitting in a chair for both paddlers. You can comfortably board and are immediately ready to go. The design guarantees maximum freedom of movement and makes loading and unloading your equipment – whether for a solo expedition or a duo trip – completely stress-free.
VIK Fold Tech
Our innovative folding mechanism reduces a full-sized 5 metre kayak to a compact size of just 65 x 55 x 28 cm. The system guides you intuitively through the process: unfold, snap into place, and paddle away. This allows the VIK 5.0 PRO to fit easily into any car trunk, any campervan, and to be transported as an ergonomic backpack.
Excellent stability
Safety through a low center of gravity: In the VIK 5.0 PRO, you sit extremely close to the water surface. This low center of gravity gives the 70 cm wide hull enormous stability against capsizing. You steer the boat intuitively using your hips and maintain full control at all times, even in waves or during rapid changes of direction – whether alone or with a partner.
Strength & precision
At 5 meters long, the VIK 5.0 PRO tracks like it's on rails. The optimised hull geometry ensures stable straight-line tracking with high manoeuverability. Thanks to efficient power transfer, you glide through the water with minimal effort. This means fewer corrective strokes and more propulsion, whether you're paddling synchronously in a pair or solo on a long-distance tour.
VIK-Lock System
Our ratchet closure system secures the VIK 5.0 PRO's hull in seconds. A single handle is enough to tension the structure securely. Once locked, no retightening is required. This transforms a quick setup into a highly rigid connection that you can blindly rely on with every paddle stroke.

Here's the best thing about the VIK 5.0 PRO: Thanks to our flexible seating system, you can freely choose your seating position. If you want to go out alone, you can place one seat in the middle and enjoy an extremely fast, true-tracking solo kayak with gigantic storage space. So you're buying a tandem and an expedition solo kayak all in one.
Plenty. At 5 meters in length, the VIK 5.0 PRO offers enough volume for a tent, sleeping bags, provisions, and cooking gear for two people. Thanks to the OpenDeck design, the boat is also significantly easier to load than a classic folding kayak with a small hatch. Read more about what to pack in our blog.
We have reduced the weight to just 18 kg. When folded, the pack size is hardly larger than our VIK 3.8 model. It's still considered hand luggage on trains and can be easily carried to the platform by one person in a backpack. Read more about it here
Its 70 cm width combined with the high rigidity of its hollow-chamber panels make the kayak very stable against capsizing. The low center of gravity ensures you always feel safe, even on large lakes or in rough water. It sits firmly in the water and can be steered intuitively even by beginners.
Although the VIK 5.0 PRO has significantly more surface area, the folding system is identical. Experienced paddlers need about 8 to 10 minutes for assembly. Since you'll mostly be out and about in pairs, it could be even faster: one folds, one clicks in the seats – and off you go to the water.
The VIK is designed so that its hull shape ensures it tracks straight and stable even without an additional fin – one less thing for you to worry about.
