Initially, I was skeptical whether the concept would really deliver on its promises on the water – but the test paddle on the exhibition centre lake at Adventure Southside truly convinced me! The entry via the ladder was surprisingly stable, and after just a few meters, you realise: The VIK is not a flimsy inflatable boat, but a real performance kayak that picks up speed very well. What was particularly impressive for me was being able to disassemble the boat right there on the spot after the paddle. The fact that a full-fledged kayak ultimately weighs so little and can be carried as a backpack is an absolute game-changer for my kayaking trips. Also, a consultation with Daniel is highly recommended!
